{ We present the Children’s Theater Lab }

2026-05-15 21:32
Children’s Theater Lab is a unique educational concept — a project for children where they have the opportunity to take part in every stage of creating a theater production, from the first idea to the final show, in a playful and engaging way.

During weekly rehearsals, children discover what it takes to become an actor and take part in acting exercises. Together, they create their own theater piece, design costumes and stage sets, select music, and create dance sequences. In December 2026, the participants present their own show on a real stage.

🧒🏼 In addition, children will meet theater practitioners from Urban Theater — actors, playwrights, set designers, musicians, and directors. The central idea of the Lab is that each child, according to their talents and interests, can discover their own passion, whether it be acting, stage design, or composing music.

🦸🏻‍♂️ Project creator and lead: Illia Rudakov — actor at Urban Theater and educator, studied acting at the Karpenko-Karyi National University in Kyiv, as well as at the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts in Saint Petersburg. In 2026, Illia completed the advanced training course "Für den Film" in Hamburg.

📌 Rehearsals take place from April 27 to December 22, 2026

📍 Location: Berlin Cosmopolitan School
(Rückerstraße 9, 10119 Berlin)

🗣 Sessions are held in German and, if needed, also in English, Russian, and Ukrainian (depending on the participants’ native languages). The final shows will be performed in German
