An educational project by Urban Theater School, created to help you navigate the grant system in Germany 🧡
It is a series of practice-oriented lectures and workshops taking place in May and June 2026. During the program, you will learn how to find the right grant for your creative project and how to apply successfully, how to implement a funded project and report on it properly, and gain a clear understanding of the German grant legislation and public funding system. You will finally stop feeling overwhelmed by complex applications and take your skills to the next level.

👨🏫 Project Lead and Lecturer: Dr. Witalij Schmidt, Executive Director of Urban Theater, a specialist in public funding for cultural projects. For many years, he held a leading position at the federal funding institution “Initiative Musik gGmbH” and was also responsible for five sub-programmes of the NEUSTART KULTUR initiated by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.
🗣 All lectures and workshops will be held in Russian.
