So, it’s time for the most exciting moment in the first stage of our Lab — the announcement of the shortlist. We read a total of 159 plays, of which 33 were included in the longlist.
Our readers are experts in drama, contemporary theatre, researchers and practitioners, who selected the plays with participation of our esteemed Jury members. The competition was great and the plays submitted to us were strong. We included 10 plays in the final shortlist, although we originally planned that there would be 7.
